Kentucky United Pipe & Drum Band
The Kentucky United Pipes and Drums Band is the number one grade 5 Pipe and Drum Band in Kentucky. And, in the South East Region of the United States Grade 5 level Pipe & Drum Bands they are rated 7th out of 177 Pipe & Drum Bands. For all the members playing is their primary passion - one they work their jobs, lives and free time around - such as practicing as shown here - in 84 degree heat and high humidity for more than two hours with only a ten minute break. The Kentucky United Pipe and Drum Band will be performing in both Louisville, KY and later the same day in Springfield, KY in the Independence Day Parade Sunday, July 3. After the parade the band will perform a free 30 minute concert on the courthouse steps.
